Around here, we Dream Big on most Sundays. It started as a letter to our email list and it's still that — a note from Kim about what we've been making, what we've been looking at, and whatever the week handed us. We're going to start keeping them here too, so nobody misses one.
Dear Cowgirls and Cowboys,
Country music is where I live most of the time. But some weeks it's Christmas songs in July, and this past week, for no reason I can explain, it was Frank Sinatra. Turned up high.
The playlist opens with “My Way.”

If you're somewhere around my stage of life — let's call it the empty nester stage — you've heard it a hundred times. And if you're closer to my kids' age, still sorting out which way is yours, I hope you'll go find it. It's worth a few minutes. I found it late, and it's been on my playlist ever since.
What I love about it is this. It's a man looking back at a pile of choices — some that people frowned on, some that nobody understood at the time, some he couldn't have told you how they'd turn out while he was making them. That's most of my choices, if I'm honest. And when they do turn out, oh, what a thing it is to know it happened my way.
Here's what I want to leave you with. When you hit the hard stretch, it's so easy to go looking for answers — advice, opinions, somebody else's blueprint. Some of that's worth having. But go put this song on first.
Because the Man upstairs handed every one of us an imagination and a way of seeing things that belongs to nobody else. That's the gift. And there isn't a soul on this earth who can take it from you.
Dream big today. Your way.
Dream Big,
Kim
